Yesterday (30 March 2021) Gibraltar faced Netherlands in the third of ten World Cup Qualifier matches, conceding with a 7-0 score to Netherlands.

Gibraltar goalkeeper Dayle Coleing, who also plays as a goalkeeper for NIFL Premiership side Glentoran, was on top form as he kept the score down in the first half. Four goals were scored in 9 second-half minutes, making this Netherlands’ biggest away win since 1993.

Prior to the game, the Netherlands team could be seen wearing T-shirts emblazoned with the phrase ‘Football Supports Change’; a nod at human-rights issues in Qatar, where the 2022 Fifa World Cup is due to be held.
